Since The Academy eligibility rules have been changed due to the covid-19 pandemic, films released in January and February 2021 were eligible, as well. The reason Moviefilm Awards started, was to create my own version of the award. I personally would just go with how things are and reward only films released in 2020, but The Academy had decided differently, so I'm gonna accept it. The official Moviefilm Awards are going to be the ones considering the same films, as The Academy. But just for fun, here's how my nominees would look like, if we excluded those that have been shifted to the first two months of 2021 - e.g. Nomadland, The Father, Minari, Judas and the Black Messiah, The White Tiger, The Mauritanian, The United States vs. Billie Holliday, etc.). The Invisible Man led the nominees with ten citations, yet it failed to received a best picture nomination. Sound of Metal and Promising Young Woman tied for the most wins, with four for each.
